Mentor/Systems Advocacy Training

Training is offered for people to become mentors/systems advocates. They learn to network with the multiple, frequently dehumanizing social, legal health care systems which people may face when putting together a new life, and then how to lead a person through these systems. More importantly, they learn about the mentoring relationship which encourages and empowers each individual to form healthy, positive bonds with others and with God.

Training consists of approximately 12-16 hours of classroom time and an opportunity for a supervised apprenticeship at Place of Promise. Place of Promise affords an excellent milieu for the development or relational and advocacy skills.
